Full-time 3 hours ago Full Job Description The Arc of Chemung Shuyler is currently seeking Direct Support Professionals to join our team to assist individuals with disabilities to learn, grow and become more independent.
No experience is necessary we offer paid training! General Description:
Direct Support Professionals (DSP) work directly with individuals who have intellectual or developmental disabilities.
Day to day they assist individuals in various daily living activities and provide support, encouragement and a safe environment that fosters independent living.
This can include transporting them to appointments and activities.
Direct Support Professionals should be caring, supportive and empowering.
Helpful skills include being able to redirect behaviors, being a positive role model, detail oriented and promoting self-advocacy.
Requirements & Skills - Must be at least 18 years of age - Successful clearance of comprehensive background checks - Must have a high school diploma or GED or pass a TABE test (GED Equivalency exam) - Valid/Clean Driver's License preferred but not required Benefits Include:
