Early Childhood Teacher Position
Summary:
Lead Teacher will lead the classroom team under the supervision of the directors.
Teacher will provide lesson plans to meet the social emotional, early literacy, developing number sense and develop a natural curiosity about the world around them.
Education:
Associate Degree in Early Childhood, Child Development or related field or possess a CDA.
Qualifications:
A minimum of one year of specific training and/or experience caring for children Experience in working with diverse populations Excellent customer service skills Strong curriculum and program knowledge for developmentally appropriate, play-based early learning Core knowledge of NYS child day care regulations Must meet the requirements of Child Care Regulations 418.
14 and related employment guidelines Must be a reliable team player, detail oriented, energetic and ready to play Able to sit or stand for long periods of time, and up to lift 30 lbs.
Duties/
Responsibilities:
Assess children's needs and development.
Provide competent supervision of children, assistant teacher and support staff.
Follow My Place board-approved policies at all times Create a welcoming child-centered culture at center Follow NYS child day care regulations at all times Planning and Reporting:
Submit weekly classroom lesson plans.
Must perform child assessments and report progress Supervise closing procedures Partner with families to involve them in program development and implementation Communications/Community Relations:
Provide monthly newsletter to families Maintain confidentiality according to My Place policy Present a positive image of My Place Answer the phone/door and support a positive customer service experience Professional Development:
Annually create individual professional development plans Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities per individual professional development plan and according to job specifications/program needs.
Complete and remain current with NYS required training Attend all required meetings Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$16.
